Bye for now
Now that we have reached the summer, it is a good time to reflect and take a quick look back at the first half of the year. The state of our local economy not withstanding, we are very happy with our year so far.
We have seen strong levels of activity from the drinks industry again, especially Budweiser and the award winning ‘Ice Cold Index’ campaign. This year has also seen movie clients represented well in social venues media formats, as well as gaming companies. With a busy sports and events schedule ahead for late summer and autumn we hope that this trend continues and the signs so far is that it will.
Of course clients want a presence in premium, high footfall venues and we have been very busy on our venue network development. In recent months we have added some of Dublins finest drinking emporiums, such as Sinnotts, Searsons, Thomas Reads, Cafe En Seine, Bradys of Terenure and many many more. The search will continue and we hope that many more great venues join our network throughout the rest of the year. As always we are happy to share our network details so just get in touch to request a full site list.
We hope to release news of some important developments over the next few months so check back in soon.
Bye for now
It has been a very busy start to the year at MyPlace Media and during that time we have continued to expand our offering in the immediate vicinity of the Aviva Stadium. We now have over 20 partner venues on the doorstep of the stadium with several more due to join in the coming months. Howl at the Moon on Mount Street, Dublin 2 is our most recent addition to the growing list.

With the Carling Nations Cup coming up in a few weeks, as well as several high profile concerts it is sure to be a busy summer.

Adrian O’Connor has joined forces with Peadar Gormley at MyPlace Media as of early January to evolve the company’s commercial trading in the ROI.
At the launch of the Jameson ‘Mix it Up’ campaign Sean Noonan, brand manager of Jameson said “As part of our Jameson ‘Mix it Up’ campaign throughout February we will host a range of sampling events in the On-Trade, bringing our popular promotions team to various counties throughout the country offering consumers the chance to sample Jameson with their preferred mixer of Coke, 7-Up or Ginger Ale. ”That’s why light boxes form a central plank of our media strategy. The On Trade is a key recruitment ground and it’s vital for Jameson to be highly visible there.”
We would like to wish all of our clients and venues alike a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2011. It has been another great year for MyPlace Media and we have continued to grow our network and our client list steadily.
2011 will also be a very exciting year, as we have plans to launch several new products to continue our offering for brands targeting consumers in bars and clubs. We will introduce these products early in the new year as well as a number of new venues to increase our network yet again.
A big thank you to all our clients that have advertised with us throughout 2010 and the agencies and poster specialists that have used our services.
Have a great Christmas
MyPlace Media
Congratulations to Toners Pub, Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2 which won the Powers Whiskey Snug of the year, beating off stiff competition from other top snugs from around the country.

Toners Snug
We are delighted to welcome the newest member of our network, Doheny & Nesbitts of Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2.

Known for many years as one of Dublin finest drinking emporiums, Doheny & Nesbitts is a ‘must have’ on any media site list. We have installed washroom and light box media formats in Doheny’s as well as MyPlace Connect, a very interesting product that we will tell you more about very soon.
Today is the 30th September, and I am trying to figure out where the year has gone. It has been a very busy nine nine months and the signs are that the last quarter will be the busiest of all. Our Aviva Stadium package is in demand now that the stadium is opened and hosting regular events. The Autumn rugby internationals should see the peak of activity in the stadium, as well as the international soccer fixtures. Lest we forget Michael Buble, who performed to a packed stadium last weekend over two nights with the crowds spilling into nearby hostelries much to the delight of the local publicans.
Arthur’s Day proved to be another major September event and several of our venues were official Arthur Day venues.

Arthur's Day Washroom Advertising
We commissioned a very interesting piece of Washroom Advertising research which reveals some very informative data in regard to the increase of sales during washroom activity and this is currently being prepared for release. We hope to release this in the coming months. We will also have news of a few more exciting developments in the next month hopefully.
We also welcome the newest member to out network, Crowe’s Pub in Ballsbridge, another Aviva Stadium favourite which strengthens our representation in the area. Finally we would like to wish good luck to another of our venues Against the Grain, formely known as Feile on Wexford Street, which opened yesterday and is serving speciality beers with excellent food.
It has been a while since we blogged last so I thought we would give you an update of what we have been up to. The summer has seen some excellent campaigns come and go on the advertising front, but we have also been very busy building our network of sites. We have since added the following new venues to our network:
Clarendon Bar, Dublin 2
The Globe, Dublin 2
Lagoona Bar, Dublin 1
Harbourmaster, Dublin 1
Scruffy Murphy’s, Dublin 2
